Paradatec
Paradatec was founded in 1988 by Andreas Müller and Klaus Mahlmann as a technology and engineering focused company based in Braunschweig, Germany. The name Paradatec was created from a contraction of "parallel data processing technology". The original overall aim of the organization was to combine local university talent with state of the art modern computer technology in order to create practical software solutions for industry. Over time, Paradatec became a leader in the speciality of pattern recognition systems development.
Early breakthrough
Shortly after its founding, Paradatec was successful in the release their first product. With the help of some early breakthroughs, Paradatec was able to create an innovative and unique character recognition system. This product was extremely efficient. It was capable of leveraging multiple processors in recognizing characters from scanned documents.
