Around 35 million German land registers are being transferred from paper and PDF format to digital formats, a task that would be tremendously difficult and time-consuming for legal clerks to perform manually.
As a subcontractor for Atos, Paradatec’s automated data recognition technology was accepted by the Bavarian judiciary to not only automatically read and analyze land register contents from scanned paper and PDF documents, but to also check data for accuracy before being saved in the database.
Available through a universal web-based interface, Paradatec’s data recognition software relieved judicial officers from the task of manually transferring data while achieving extremely high data recognition rates. Despite being integrated with different system environments, Paradatec’s technology was effective in all federal states.
To save time and money, the federal states North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate needed to automate the historically paper-based methods of processing federal aid for German civil servants, soldiers, professional judges and their families.
Implemented with its long-term integration partner, codecentric AG, Paradatec’s automatic document recognition and data extraction technology was used to simplify the conversion to automated federal aid processing.
Paradatec helped both federal states make the conversion with high processing speeds and a high level of accuracy. State officials were able to control the data classification and extraction processes themselves and keep follow-up costs manageable.
In the course of their digitization campaign, one of the top five legal protection insurers was looking for the solution to automatically extract data from claim documents. In addition to rapid integration into the existing DMS environment and the decreasing specialist system, scaling and flexibility were further factors in the decision-making process.
Decisive factors were easy integration into the existing DMS as well as into the specialist system, scalability and flexibility through modular design.
The RAR Legal Invoices specialist module uses AI and knowledge-based rules in a targeted manner to classify and extract these documents. It is readily configured and can be extended as needed. During this evaluation phase, the company decided via a POC, to use the Paradatec specialist module RAR.
The specialist module was integrated promptly by Codecentric AG, a certified partner of Paradatec. The module was able to prove its flexibility already in this early phase. Necessary adjustments were made during the project in cooperation with the customer and on schedule.
Already now, the RAR module provides the insurer with a significant competitive advantage in terms of settlement speed, effort and security. Further expansion stages are currently being planned.
